Dheedene Link for Real - Ipswich Town News

Town manager George Burley has refused to comment on stories linking Anderlecht defender Didier Dheedene. This is usually a sign that George Burley is indeed interested in a player, although quite why we may be after a defender is perplexing. Twenty-eight-year-old Dheedene previously played for the rather worrying sounding Germinal Ekeren before joining Anderlecht in 1997. Dheedene, who scored last night in the Champions' League, is rated at £1.5 million and is also reported to be interesting Southampton.

George Burley has said that Amir Karic will not make start against Arsenal on Saturday. The Town manager says the Slovenian has not trained sufficiently with his team-mates as yet. Of the Town players on show on Tuesday at Millwall Fabian Wilnis is felling his knee a touch, while Matt Holland felt no ill effects from his half. Titus Bramble, who missed out at the Den with a hip injury, is likely to be fit for Saturday's game with the Gunners.
