Town skipper Jim Magilton says he is no hurry to sign a new deal at Portman Road and will think about the matter once an offer is on the table.
Magilton says that as yet there have been no developments: "There have been no negotiations and the gaffer hasn't spoken to me about this yet. When the time comes, I will discuss it with him.
"If we reach that stage, and I feel I still have something to offer, I will weigh up the pros and cons with my family. This is a club I feel very comfortable with. It's a fantastic club and I have enjoyed my time here immensely."
"I don't have a problem with waiting until Joe approaches me. I have a fantastic relationship with him and I trust him. We'll talk when the time is right."
Recent reports that the former Northern Irish international had been offered a new one-year deal were subsequently denied by the club.
