Spartacus Bout at Academy - Ipswich Town News
Suffolk boxer Steve Spartacus is planning a hometown fight at the Blues' Playford Road Training Centre. Sparticus recently won the national light-heavyweight title and is keen to defend it in Ipswich.
Spartacus hopes to hold the fight in the dome at Playford Road, probably in the spring.
The fighter says that although nothing is confirmed he is confident it will go ahead: "I want it and the football club want it - now it's just a matter of putting everything in place to convince the relevant authorities."
If the fight goes ahead the dome will be fitted with a temporary floor and will hold up to 2,500 people.
