Goat Leak Angers Coppell - Ipswich Town News
Reading manager Steve Coppell says he is annoyed that private conversations regarding Town's proposed move for Shaun Goater found their way into the papers. The Blues expressed loan interest in the former Manchester City striker earlier in the week, but the Bermudian says he is not interested in a move.
Coppell said: "I had private conversations with Joe Royle and then Shaun so I was not best pleased when the details of those conversations came out in the press.
"I know where they came from and I don't want to go into that, but it's not ideal from my point of view.
"Shaun has no intention of leaving Reading. He is happy here and wants to complete the job he was brought here to do."
