Joe Denies Jansen Link - Ipswich Town News

Town boss Joe Royle has refuted this morning's newspaper report claiming that he was interested in taking Blackburn's Matt Jansen to Portman Road on loan.

Royle told the club site that the story was news to him: "I have read the reports but there is nothing in it. I have not been in contact with Blackburn at all."

The Town manager says movement is likely this week: "Once the transfer window is closed, the Premiership clubs will know where they stand and things will move on from there.

"I've made some calls and now it's a case of waiting by the phone until I get some answers."
