Board Additions Soon - Ipswich Town News

Town chairman David Sheepshanks has revealed that there will be additions to the club's board in the near future. However, the £200,000 share investor, whose identity currently remains a mystery, does not want to become a director.

Sheepshanks said: "We have already added Kevin Beeston to the board and he has been a tremendous addition. We are looking to make further additions and we will look to do that in the coming weeks."

The chairman says that the £200,000 investor is a backer of the current directors but does not want to join the board himself: "He has invested from an entirely supportive position of the board and the management of the club.

"He was invited on to the board but he has decided he can't give it full justice in terms of time, but we may revisit that in the future."

Town are currently refusing to divulge the identity of the mystery man, but it will become clear once the register of investors is available in a few weeks' time.
