Two Set for Deals - Ipswich Town News
Youngsters Scott Mitchell and Scott Barron will be offered professional contracts with Town later this month. The pair have impressed in the reserves this season with Mitchell making his senior debut late last year against Derby County.
Mitchell, 18, came on at right-back in the closing stages of the game at Pride Park, replacing Shefki Kuqi. He has captained the reserves and has also played in midfield for the academy U19s this season.
Barron, who shares a birthday with Mitchell, has switched to left-back this season after previously spending most of his time at left midfield, and has impressed Joe Royle since the move.
