Another Ford Man to Sign - Ipswich Town News
Town are set to sign a second player from Ryman League side Ford United. Last week the Blues revealed they were set to sign central defender Jerome Sobers, now team-mate Ben Patten will also be moving to Portman Road.
Patten, part of the same Ford youth side as Sobers, is a defender or midfielder. The pair were spotted by academy coach Ian Smith after a tip-off.
Manager Joe Royle says the deals are all but complete: "Offers have been made and accepted, so now it is just a question of completing the formalities in the next few days before the lads report for duty with the academy."
