Town striker Darren Bent hit an 87th minute winner for the England U21s as David Platt's side beat Holland 3-2 at Hull's Kingston Communications Stadium. Bizarrely, it's the second time that Bent has netted an 87th minute goal at Hull for the U21s, even more strangely, also in a 3-2 victory.
The Town front man came on as an 82nd minute sub for Carlton Cole with the scores at 2-2. Three minutes from time he latched on to a Jonathan Stead cross from the left and finished from six yards out.
Crewe's Dean Ashton and Arsenal's David Bentley scored the earlier England goals.
Bent has now one four caps for the U21s, previously scoring the winner in the 3-2 win against Serbia and Montenegro, also in Hull, back in June.
England U21s: Carson, Hunt (Hoyte 45), Johnson, Taylor, Ridgewell, Bentley, Reo-Coker (Chaplow 82), Welsh, Downing (Whittingham 69), Cole (Bent 82), Ashton (Stead 69).
