Fee for Ford Pair - Ipswich Town News
Town have revealed that they paid a small fee for Ford United pair Jerome Sobers and Ben Patten. The central defenders completed their moves from the Ryman League side earlier this week.
Sobers, 17, and Patten, who has just turned 18, were in the reserves side which lost 1-0 to West Ham last night.
Town have paid Ford a nominal fee for the duo which will rise depending on appearances and on any international caps.
The Blues are also playing two pre-season friendlies as part of the deal.
The pair are the first players to join Town from a non-league club since James Pullen was signed from Heybridge Swifts in the summer of 1999.
