Joe Still After Goals - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Joe Royle says he isn't about to change his side's attacking style as they go into the final third of the season. The Blues have become the division's goal kings this term, but at both ends of the field, scoring 60 but conceding 52.
Royle says that the defence needs attention but he is not going to change his approach: "I'm not just going to try and settle for boring 1-0 scorelines.
"I want us to win matches, but win in style. I'd rather secure 4-3 wins. It's good entertainment and it's great value for the fans.
"We know that we have to improve defensively, but the main priority is to keep outscoring the opposition."
Royle and his squad are currently in Tenerife but return today. He says that the trip has been useful: "Training has gone well, and hopefully the change in scenery will have done the players some good.
"It's been pleasant, although we've had some rain."
