Andy Staying With Lions? - Ipswich Town News

Millwall want out-of-favour Town keeper Andy Marshall to remain with them until the end of the season. Marshall's one-month loan is up at the weekend but player-manager Dennis Wise is keen that the former England U21 should stay at the Den.

Marshall, however, has not been impressed with his spell with the Lions, having made only two appearances in his time there.

The 28-year-old was initially keen on his switch to south London as he was hoping it would put him in the shop window with his Town contract up in the summer.

Striker Alun Armstrong is still at Town after his loan with Bradford ended prior to the Bantams' visit to Portman Road. He was due to return immediately but, having picked up a slight groin injury, he is still with the Blues.

Once he recovers from the injury the former Boro and Stockport man is likely to return to Valley Parade for the rest of the season. Like Marshall, his contract with the Blues ends in the summer.

Town themselves are continuing to search for loan players having had little luck with their earlier targets.
