Loan Search Continues - Ipswich Town News

Town boss Joe Royle says his search for loan players is continuing. The Town boss has been targeting additions to his squad for some weeks now, but has so far drawn a blank.

Royle says: "The situation has not changed. We're still looking for the right players but we will not be bringing players in just for the sake of it."

Confusion surrounds the situation regarding Alun Armstrong now that Bradford have gone back into administration.

Armstrong's loan with the West Yorkshire club was stopped when the Blues faced the Bantams, the striker subsequently picking up a groin injury which saw him remain with the Blues. Royle says he will seek clarification on the issue later today.

Royle also confirmed that Andy Marshall will be allowed to play for loan club Millwall when they visit Portman Road on March 13th.

The Town manager explained that the difference in approach between the two players is down to money. While Bradford were paying only a small percentage of Armstrong's wages, Millwall are paying a large proportion of Marshall's salary.
