Makin in Reserves - Ipswich Town News
Long absent full-back Chris Makin will play his first reserve game this evening since his hip operation towards the end of last year. The Town second string face Coventry City at Nuneaton Borough's Manor Park ground (KO 7pm).
Makin has been out of action since the West Ham match in August when he limped off in the second half. After an abortive return to reserve action it was decided that surgery was required.
The ex-Oldham, Marseille and Sunderland man was again struggling until he had a painkilling injection last month. Since then training has gone well, but tonight's game will be his biggest test yet.
Dean Bowditch is the only other player in the squad with more than a couple of minutes first team experience.
Reserves squad: Lewis Price, Michael Synnott, Scott Barron, Ben Patten, Aidan Collins, Chris Makin, Scott Mitchell, Alfie Kamara, Sam Morrow, Dean Bowditch, Stuart Boardley, Jerome Sobers, Scott Peat, Daniel Flack, Liam Manning and Craig Reid.
