Burley Puts in Another Offer - Ipswich Town News

Town have put in a bid for another player manager George Burley revealed this evening. The Blues' manager said the player was an attacking midfielder and added that "he'll score goals".

The normally taciturn Town boss went on to add that the player is currently playing in Europe, from a country he described as being "not too far away from here."

This leads us to speculate that the player may well be from Holland, although he could as easily be from Belgium, Germany or France.

Town have made several bids for attacking midfielders already this season, failing to land both Claus Jensen and Hassan Kachloul early on in the campaign. The Town manager says the new player will fill the role that either of these two would had they signed. Expect more news as the week goes along...
