Vermant's the Man - Ipswich Town News

Reports this morning suggest the player George Burley has a bid in for is Sven Vermant from Club Brugge. Vermant is an attacking midfielder of the style described by Burley last night and has scored 44 goals in 199 league appearances for his club. The 27-year-old's previous clubs include VK Hooikt and KV Mechelen and on the Brugge official site lists Metallica and the Wu-Tan Clan.

Earlier this month Town were linked with Vermant's team-mate Gert Verheyen and this could possibly be a case of someone seeing a Town representative at a game and picking the wrong target. George Burley is rumoured to have been at Brugge's game with Harelbeke at the weekend.

The player says his hobbies include the Internet and playing music. More info from http://www.clubbrugge.be/
