Mitchell in Squad - Ipswich Town News
Youngsters Scott Mitchell and Dean Bowditch are both included in Joe Royle's squad for Saturday's home game with Millwall. Fellow academy product Scott Barron is not in the 16 despite training with the first team squad, but he has been awarded squad number 26.
Right-back or midfielder Mitchell has made one senior appearance so far, as a sub in the 2-2 draw at derby towards the end of last year, although he has been in the bench on a number of other occasions.
Barron, a left-back or midfielder, has impressed in the reserves this season, particularly since switching to a full-back role. A senior debut cannot be too far away.
Town are without John McGreal, Chris Bart-Williams and Pablo Couñago due to injury.
Squad: Bent, Bowditch, Davis, Diallo, Kuqi, Magilton, Miller, Mitchell, Naylor, Price, Reuser, Richards, Santos, Westlake, Wilnis, Wright.
