Bent Praises Colleagues - Ipswich Town News
Hat-trick hero Darren Bent had praise for his team-mates after his three-goal haul gave his side a well-deserved victory against Walsall.
Bent felt his colleagues put his goals on a plate for him: "Everyone was brilliant, especially the midfield, and I thought Tommy Miller was truly outstanding.
"All the goals were set up for me well but the third was probably the most important as Walsall had just scored and were going for an equaliser. Ian Westlake did very well to slow the play and then get the ball again and pull it back for me."
Earlier in the game Bent feared he might be substituted after a disappointing first half, but a goal just after the break set him on his way to his first senior hat-trick.
