Jim on Thomas Return - Ipswich Town News
Town skipper Jim Magilton expects former Blue Thomas Gaardsøe to receive a warm welcome from the Portman Road crowd when he returns to Suffolk for Sunday's vital league clash. The Dane was controversially transferred to West Brom earlier this season.
Magilton told the club site: "It will be good to see Thomas again and I am sure he will receive a great reception from our supporters - despite that goal [against Town in the game at the Hawthorns].
"He was a popular player in the dressing room and with our fans, and he's gone on to do very well at West Brom.”
Gaardsøe is likely to line-up in a back three for Albion on Sunday. Gary Megson's side are expected to have striker Geoff Horsfield available after injury, although the Midlanders have a lot of options in that department with Delroy Facey, Lee Hughes, Rob Hulse, Morten Skoubo and Scott Dobie all also vying for a place.
