Reid Released - Ipswich Town News
Academy striker Craig Reid has been released by Town and is set for a trial at former club Coventry City. Reid joined the Blues youth set-up in the summer of 2002 after being spotted in exit trials.
Reid, now 17, had been released by Coventry due to cuts in their academy budget. Arsenal were also interested in signing the front man but he decided on a move to Portman Road.
Two weeks ago Reid, who made brief reserve appearances while with Town, scored twice from the penalty spot as the U19s defeated Reading 2-1.
