Garvan in Irish Action - Ipswich Town News

Academy midfielder Owen Garvan was in the Ireland U16 side which lost 2-0 to Russia in the Castelo Blanco Tournament in Portugal.

Garvan played the first 45 minutes of Ireland's third game, the first having ended in a 2-2 draw with Portugal and the second in a 1-1 draw with Turkey, Garvan not playing in either game.

Town also have Daryl Knights away on international duty with the England U16s at the Tournoi de Montaigu in France.

In the tournament's group games England lost 1-0 to the Ivory Coast, beat the USA 3-1 and were defeated 3-2 by Italy. They will play the fifth/sixth place play-off on Monday before returning home.
