Doubts Over Duo - Ipswich Town News

Town have fitness doubts over John McGreal and Tommy Miller ahead of today's crucial home game against Sunderland. McGreal aggravated his ankle injury at Rotherham, while Miller has a tight hamstring and suffered a dead-leg at Millmoor.

Manager Joe Royle says it could go either way for the pair: "I would expect them to play if the match was Tuesday and we will see how they are before the Sunderland game.”

Miller is considered the bigger doubt and if he doesn't make it could lead to a rare start from Martijn Reuser.

McGreal's deputy is likely to be Georges Santos if the Liverpool-born player misses out.

Neither Jim Magilton nor Ian Westlake suffered any reaction to their knocks during the 3-1 win at Rotherham.

Richard Naylor has returned to the squad after his broken toe.

Town squad: Davis, Price, Wilnis, Richards, Mitchell, McGreal, Elliott, Naylor, Santos, Diallo, Magilton, Miller, Westlake, Wright, Reuser, Bent, Bowditch, Kuqi, Armstrong.
