Town skipper Jim Magilton says he would love to remain with the Blues if he is offered a new contract in the summer. The Northern Irishman is one of a number of players whose deals end in June.
Magilton told the club site: "I would love to stay at Ipswich. I have no intention of quitting the playing side of the game yet and feel as fit as I have ever done.
"I am confident I can do a job for a while more, whether that be here or somewhere else, but I would love the opportunity to stay at Portman Road.
"It's a wonderful club with a fantastic set of supporters and I have spent the happiest time of my career at Ipswich. It's been a real honour to pull on the blue shirt."
Magilton is expected to return north when his time at Town ends, his wife hailing from Merseyside.
Another out-of-contract player, full-back Fabian Wilnis, recently told TWTD that he would be keen to remain at Portman Road should he be offered a new deal.
