Jim: Crowd Have Role - Ipswich Town News

Town skipper Jim Magilton says that the West Ham crowd have a big role to play when the Blues travel to Upton Park for the second leg of the play-off semi-final against the Hammers on Tuesday.

Magilton says the East Londoners' support could become nervous if things don't go their way: "We've got the advantage and we know they will come at us firing on all cylinders.

"But we know if we can keep it tight at their place their crowd will play a part because they can get a bit edgy.

"We were nervous in our last game here, and that was a good test for us. The young players hadn't been involved in a sell-out atmosphere before, but they used that experience to help them against West Ham.

"Matty Richards was yawning in the warm-up! He was so laid back about it and had a terrific game for us at left back.

"Earlier in the season we couldn't keep a clean sheet for love nor money, so to go into the second leg having kept a clean sheet is a great result."
