Two Set to Sign - Ipswich Town News

Defender Chris Makin and goalkeeper Lewis Price have agreed to sign their new Town deals, with Richard Naylor expecting to do the same in the next few days.

Makin is happy with his new contract, a two-month deal until the end of August. Town want the full-back to prove himself after his lengthy absence due to a hip injury.

Price says he is happy to remain at Portman Road for another season: "I'm staying. I love it here and I'm learning so much. The idea is for me to possibly go out on loan next season to get more experience but I will remain an Ipswich player."

Naylor says he expects to stay at Town player, while Fabian Wilnis, John McGreal, Jermaine Wright and Jim Magilton have not yet made a decision.

Both Wilnis and Magilton indicated prior to the offer of the new deals that they were keen to stay. Magilton meets with Joe Royle today, having been in Northern Ireland over the last few days after a bereavement.

Wright has been linked with a move to Southampton but up to now no approach has been made by the Saints either to the agent or Wright himself.
