Town to Face Barnet - Ipswich Town News
Town will face Barnet in a pre-season friendly at Underhill on Wednesday, July 21st (KO 7.45 pm).
The Blues have scheduled another London pre-season game on Saturday, 24th July when they take on Redbridge FC - formerly Ford United - at their Oakside Stadium in Barkingside. The match is part of the deal which saw Ben Patten and Jerome Sobers move to Portman Road.
Town's pre-season programme is gradually coming together, although as yet there is no official word on the tour. The strongest rumour suggests that Italy may be the Blues' destination.
The club face Newcastle in Dale Roberts's testimonial on Wednesday, July 28th, while the regular fixture against currently unnamed continential opposition is set for Saturday, July 31th.
The Blues are expected to face Lazio this summer and they could well be the opposition involved in that, the last of the warm-up games. Two home friendlies with the Rome club were agreed as part of the Matteo Sereni transfer last summer.
