Veno to Join Mogga? - Ipswich Town News
Former Town centre-half Mark Venus is reported to be in line to join another ex-Blue, Tony Mowbray, at Hibernian. Mowbray was recently named manager of the Scottish Premier League club and Venus is thought a leading candidate to be his assistant.
After leaving the Blues last summer, Venus joined Cambridge United, however, a row with then boss John Taylor - a Town supporter - saw the former Wolves player relegated to training with the youths.
He spent the latter part of last season on loan at Dagenham and Redbridge and was ready to play for Hornchurch next season.
Mowbray returns from holiday next week when he is expected to confirm the name of his assistant.
The ex-Town skipper revealed last summer that had he been offered the Hartlepool manager's job Venus would have been his deputy.
