Bent to West Brom? - Ipswich Town News
Town striker Marcus Bent is being linked with a summer move to West Bromwich Albion. The Baggies are yet to put in a bid for the former Leicester loanee but it is reported that talks have taken place regarding a switch to the Hawthorns.
The Blues are keen to rid themselves of Bent's high wage as soon as possible. The 26-year-old is one of only three players at Portman Road still on a Premiership contract, Martijn Reuser and Pablo Couñago being the others.
Leicester had been keen to turn Bent's loan into a permanent deal but they are not in a position to pay a fee for the much-travelled front man.
Glasgow giants Celtic and Rangers are also interested in Bent, who joined Town for £3 million in November 2001.
