Samuelsson Link - Ipswich Town News
Town are being linked with SK Brann Bergen midfielder Svante Samuelsson. The 28-year-old is apparently to be watched by Town on Sunday when his side meet Lillestrom. Brann are a bit on the broke side at the moment and might be willing to get rid of Samuelsson, although with a record of just two goals last season he doesn't sound like the kind of player Town would be after. A Norwegian agent, Stig Lillejord, is quoted saying: "It is not impossible that they would buy him". Which is about as vague as it gets.
Town are likely to be linked with other midfielders as the Verheyen crisis looks less likely to end with the player joining the Blues. Town had already failed to sign two other goalscoring midfielders in pre-season, Claus Jensen and Hassan Kachloul, and obviously would look at other players to fill this position should the Verheyen deal be completely dead. We're not sure that Samuelsson is that sort of player, but we'll see..
