More Makin Talks - Ipswich Town News

Contract waverer Chris Makin is set to speak to his agent before he makes a decision on whether to remain at Portman Road. The former Sunderland man, who has turned down Town's interim two-month contract offer, held talks with Joe Royle on Tuesday.

The Town manager says Makin is yet to make up his mind: "I saw Chris yesterday and he wants to speak to his agent. We are due to have another chat tomorrow.

"I don't anticipate too many problems with Fabian, Richard and Jim. But if, say, Fabian and Chris didn't both sign new contracts we'd be down to one full-back and I would have to get another one in pretty quickly."

Royle says he will not be making any firm moves for players until he knows who remains from last season's squad.
