It is emerging that West Ham fans were seated throughout home areas of the ground on Saturday. We have already had several emails outlining their whereabouts and behaviour.
One fan said: "One very vociferous West Ham fan in block Y of Britannia. Stewards came and had a word but he basically told them that he bought the ticket legitimately (doubtful) and the ticket didn't specify "home fans only" and, therefore, he was damn well staying put (not his exact words).
"The stewards let him stay and yell his head off the whole of the match. Glad I was sitting a few rows away as the temptation to whack him round the lugs with me programme might have been overwhelming!!!!!"
Another said: "We had a West Ham lunatic sitting in Britannia Stand Block Y seat D17. He wanted to fight everyone never stopped swearing. Stewards seemed too frightened to do anything. The same seat was occupied by Arsenal fans . I went to reception after the game and a chap called Richard took me in and said he would investigate.
"Y block is supposed to be an executive area yet D17 and its neighbour seem to get into the possession of visiting fans."
Another email said: "I sit in block A in the Cobbold and a similar incident almost happened at the Arsenal match with a number of away supporters making themselves known when Arsenal scored.
"Basically as soon as West Ham scored a number of people near the entrance to block A started to celebrate as did a number of people sitting in row B and there appeared to be a few scuffles.
"I can only assume certain seasons tickets have found there way into Londoners who are not Town fans, There were no such incidents at any of the other home games."
And more: "I don't think that the Cobbold Stand was the only stand with a large presence of West Ham fans. I sit in Block Q Britannia and there were many away supporters there also.
"There were two very close to me and I asked how they got tickets. Both of these people knew season ticket holders that gave them their ticket."
"There was a scuffle involving several West Ham fans in the pub that used to be O'Neill's [Giles' Bar] - The problem was coming from the amount of West Ham fans that seemed to be actually looking for trouble.
"One Ipswich fan then took exception to a West Ham fan's comment and there then followed a period of scuffles and glasses being thrown with the whole of the bar area involved.
"One bouncer was left to try and sort it out with the police following a couple of minutes after it had finished and by this time the culprits had left.
"There didn't seem to be any injuries but it's just a shame as we have had other away teams in the pub (Arsenal/Villa) and they were happier talking about football instead of trying to act revenge for their teams crap performance"!
"About 20-25 West Ham fans were sat behind me in the Britannia (Block R). Didn't realise until West Ham scored, when they all jumped up - quite a surprise and quite annoying. How did this happen?"
How indeed. When we hear anything from the club we'll post the response.
