Joe Slams Drinking Claim - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Joe Royle has slammed claims made after his sacking from Manchester City that there was a "drinking culture" at the club. Earlier this week Royle won more than £400,000 compensation from City, a judgment the club will be appealing.
Royle reacted angrily to the allegations made in the wake of his May 2001 dismissal: "It's sad to say, but I'm afraid the only class at City is on the terraces. There was never any drink culture in my team."
