Makin at Leicester - Ipswich Town News
Full-back Chris Makin is on trial with Leicester City having turned down the opportunity to sign a new deal with the Blues. The 31-year-old, out for most of last season with a hip injury, was offered a two-month deal at Portman Road, rising to a year once he had proved his fitness.
The ex-Oldham, Sunderland and Marseille player has still not contacted Town boss Joe Royle but will be with the Foxes on their pre-season tour of Finland and Estonia.
Makin seemed all set to sign his Town deal but at the last minute had a change of mind.
