Joe Praise for New Pair - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Joe Royle had special praise for new signings Jason De Vos and Kevin Horlock after the 2-1 pre-season win at Peterborough United. Royle also felt that trialist Mark Rivers showed signs of his skills in the second half.
Royle told the club site: "I thought the new players were terrific.
"Kevin and Jason did exceptionally well for us in their first game and while Mark Rivers had less chance to shine in the second half, he showed us flashes of what he can do and is short of fitness at the moment."
Royle was pleased with the game and is unconcerned at a minor injury picked up by Pablo Couñago: "The game was all about fitness and was a good exercise for us.
"Pablo has picked up a sore foot but it's nothing to worry about and he should be fine for next week's tour to Denmark."
