A tabloid newspaper is linking the Blues with a move for 20-year-old Huddersfield Town central defender Nathan Clarke.

The youngster missed most of last season through an ankle injury but is highly rated at the McAlpine Stadium.

The Halifax-born player has another year left on his contract and has impressed a number of Premiership clubs, which suggests he is probably out of Town's price-range at the present time.
