Town Chasin' Jason? - Ipswich Town News

Links between Town and lower division strikers seem to be the in thing with Brighton's Gary Hart and Cambridge's Martin Butler already the subjects of speculation. Now it is reported that we were watching Bristol Rovers' striker Jason Roberts at the weekend. The 21 year old scored the winner in the game against Gillingham and was also apparently being watched by West Ham.

It is being reported in Finland that we have Miikka Multaharju on trial at the moment. The My-Pa 47 player has been with Town since the sixth of the month and could well be the 'mystery man' George Burley refused to name after a recent reserve fixture. Further details either when a Finnish correspondent sends them or I learn Finnish.

The injury situation which left Town with a very inexperienced bench yesterday (one full Town appearance between the lot of them) seems to be calming down with Adam Tanner and Jim Magilton back in training. Magilton will be available for Saturday's game with Bolton. Still suffering are Marco Holster (should be back later this week) and Titus Bramble, out for a month with tendinitis and having his foot reshaped.
