Santos In Talks - Ipswich Town News
Georges Santos is currently in talks with Burnley over a permanent move. Should the move be successful he'll team up with former Town player John McGreal who joined them earlier in the summer.
McGreal is likely to have told the Steve Cotterill the Clarets' manager of his availability and will be talking to Santos's agent in the hope of thrashing out a deal. Georges seems to be well down the pecking order at Town so may welcome a move for first team football.
This may be what Joe Royle was referrering to when talking of further moves earlier. It's been made clear that no players can come to Town until other players leave so this may give Royle the go-ahead to sign another striker, a position he wants to improve, or to sign Mark Rivers should his trial be successful.
