Reserves Beat Leiston - Ipswich Town News
Town reserves got their pre-season off to a decent start with a 4-1 win at Leiston Town on Friday night.
The Blues fielded an entirely Academy side, the goals coming via an own goal, Hammond and Storey (2).
Town's Academy has received a boost from former Blue Hermann Hreidarsson who is helping to fund a trip to a tournament in his home country of Iceland.
A squad of 14 and 15-year-olds will make the journey to the Rey Cup next week, a competition the Blues won last year.
An U18 squad are also off for tournament action abroad. They travel to Doetichem in Holland in August to play in a competition also won by Town last season.
