Town Take French Trialist - Ipswich Town News
Town have taken 28-year-old French striker Nicolas Gousse on trial. Gousse currently plays for Guingamp, having previously been with Thouars, Rennes, Metz and Troyes.
The frontman scored four goals in 15 starts and seven sub appearances last season. However, his scoring record for Troyes was better, and in 01/02 he netted 15 goals in 31 league games.
Gousse may be involved in Wednesday's Dale Roberts testimonial against Newcastle United. Three years ago Gousse was in the Troyes side which faced the Magpies in the UEFA Cup.
Town boss Joe Royle has suggested he may also look at a midfielder on trial this week.
