Santos Signs at Rangers - Ipswich Town News
French defender Georges Santos has signed a two-year contract at QPR. Santos, made available on a free transfer by the Blues, agreed terms and passed a medical earlier in the week but a few contractual matters held up the deal's completion.
These have now been sorted and the former Tranmere, West Brom, Sheffield United and Grimsby player has completed his switch.
Santos joined the Blues on a free transfer last summer after turning down a new deal with Grimsby. He made 36 appearances for Town scoring one goal.
The 34-year-old's removal from the wage bill will allow Joe Royle to bring in another player on a permanent deal, in addition to season-long loanee Justin Hoyte who is expected to sign before the start of the new season.
