Kuqi Called Up - Ipswich Town News

Town striker Shefki Kuqi has been called into the Finland squad for a World Cup qualifier against Romania in Bucharest next Wednesday. If he plays, the Kosovo-born frontman will earn his 35th international cap.

The squad meet up on Sunday after Town's trip to Derby the previous day, the Finnish management not invoking the five-day rule.

Kuqi will be back with the squad on the Thursday, ahead of the Saturday game at home to Cardiff City.

Jason De Vos will also be away for a similar period, the Canadians taking on Guatemala in Vancouver in their first World Cup qualifying semi-final group game.
