Town manager Joe Royle was glad to get a point out of Wednesday night's trip to Nottingham Forest. Royle felt the Blues ought to have had a penalty and wants to see more from his strikers.
The Town boss was pleased to get the draw, particularly given his side's performance after the break: "I am delighted with a point because in the second half we didn't play.
"Kelvin Davis was excellent in goal, and Tony Dinning had a good debut. But after that I am looking for people to step up.
"Having said that, not many teams will come to Forest and win. I suppose their season hinges on whether they can keep Andy Reid; he is an excellent player."
Royle was particularly unimpressed with referee Alan Kaye: "If I said what I think about the referee then I will get a three-year touchline ban instead of three games.
"We were denied a clear penalty for a foul on Darren Bent but that was just the way it was going to go all night."
Royle was also displeased with a challenge on Drissa Diallo from David Johnson: "It was a bad tackle and could have broken Drissa's leg."
Town's strike-force didn't do enough to impress their manager: "We've always got a goal in us. But sometimes it is hard to see, and this was one of those nights.
"Maybe I'm harder on the strikers because I used to be one but we must improve in that department. It's something I am going to have to look at again.
"I wasn't pleased with the performance of the forwards but having said that, we have dug in, Darren has reacted quickly for the goal and we have got a point out of the game."
Forest boss Joe Kinnear's post-match comments centred around man of the match Andy Reid: "I would like to keep him permanently, but unfortunately it is not up to me.
"The chairman has struck a deal, and if someone comes up with £5 million, he goes."
Kinnear confirmed that Spurs are the only club to show concrete interest in the Irish midfielder but says there are otehrs sniffing around: "I have told Andy not to pigeon-hole himself into thinking about one club only.
"We have scouts from Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal coming here - and they are also looking at him.
"For £5 million someone is going to get a hell of a player, and if I were a Premiership manager the first thing I would do is sign him up on a five-year contract."
