Jim Hoping for Good News - Ipswich Town News
Town skipper Jim Magilton is hoping for good news regarding his thigh injury when he has a scan on Monday. The Northern Irishman will again be missing when the Blues travel to Derby due to the slight tear to his thigh muscle.
Magilton says he has been told to rest: "I am having a scan on Monday and hopefully it will be good news.
"I played on a bit too long in pre-season when I should have taken a rest earlier. But I wanted to be part of the action.
"They told me that rest should be the cure, and I can do everything apart from strike the ball. When I do it is painful."
The Blues have missed Magilton's presence in midfield so far this season but have gained four points in two games.
The club skipper says the division is very open: "Promotion places are up for grabs. They are anybody's. On the evidence of our first two matches we have nothing to fear and teams will be beating each other."
