Pair Called Up - Ipswich Town News
Town pair Darren Bent and Ian Westlake have been included in the England U21 squad for September's European Championship qualifying matches with Austria and Poland. There is no place for recent U21 debutant Matt Richards, who is currently suffering with a foot injury.
England face Austria at the Sepp Doll Stadion in Krems on Friday, September 3rd and Poland at the Municipal Stadium in Rybnik on the following Tuesday.
Bent has won six U21 caps, scoring three goals, while Westlake has yet to play, despite being involved in the squad for the recent Ukraine game.
Welsh U21 keeper Lewis Price has already been called up for their game in Azerbaijan on Friday, September 3rd.
