Reserves Face Chelsea - Ipswich Town News
Town's reserves face the Chelsea second string this evening at Aldershot's Recreation Ground (KO 7pm). Strike pair Pablo Couñago and Dean Bowditch are both included in the side having watched Monday's first team win against Wolves from the bench.
This suggests that Town are not expecting any transfer activity regarding either Bowditch or Couñago before the end of the transfer window at midnight tonight. The Blues are still yet to hear any more from Charlton regarding Darren Bent, who is now away with the England U21 squad.
Irish youngster Shane Supple starts in goal for the reserves with Lewis Price away with the Wales U21 side.
Loanee Tony Dinning gets a chance to work on his match fitness, having missed most of Wigan's pre-season prior to joining the Blues.
Reserves: Shane Supple, Scott Mitchell, Stuart Boardley, Antonio Murray, Jerome Sobers, Chris Hogg, Daniel Flack, Tony Dinning, Pablo Couñago, Dean Bowditch, Scott Barron. Subs: Billy Clarke, Liam Craig, Adem Atay, Owen Garvan, Michael Synnott.
