Reserves Draw - Ipswich Town News

Town's reserves drew their first away game of the season 1-1 against a Chelsea side which included Robert Huth, Celestine Babayaro and Scott Parker at Aldershot's Recreation Ground on Tuesday night.

The home side went ahead through Michele Gallaccio on 21 but the Blues struck back in the last minute via a fine Billy Clarke strike after good work from Pablo Couñago.

Coach Steve McCall told the club site he was impressed with his side's display: "The boys deserved the point in the end and it was very satisfying.

"Chelsea had a strong side out with Scott Parker, Babayaro and Huth all playing, but we did well and as the game developed we came more into the play.

"We rode our luck at times in the second half but equally we had chances to get level before Billy scored.

"Dean and Pablo worked hard up front and the defence was solid as well, so we're pleased with the point and the performance."

Town: Supple, Mitchell (Synnott), Boardley, Murray, Sobers, Hogg, Flack (Clarke), Dinning, Counago, Bowditch, Barron.
