Joe: We Should Be Top - Ipswich Town News

Town manager Joe Royle says he is disappointed his side isn't top of the table instead of third after the opening six games of the season. Royle feels the poor performances at Nottingham Forest and Derby have cost his side top spot.

The Town boss told the club site: "I am the eternal optimist and am disappointed we are not top.

"It's only the two poor away performances at Nottingham Forest and Derby that have cost us that position.

"One of the positives though, has been our form at Portman Road with four wins out of four.

"That has been a real plus point for us because last season our home performances and results weren't good enough and cost us dear."
