Rotherham Trial for Alun - Ipswich Town News
Former Town striker Alun Armstrong is on trial at Championship side Rotherham United. The ex-Stockport and Boro man was released by the Blues at the end of last season and was recently on trial with Bristol City until an achilles injury put him out of action.
Since then he has been back at Town's Playford Road training ground receiving treatment but played for the Millers in a game against Mansfield on Thursday.
Manager Ronnie Moore says he was impressed but is concerned about the frontman's fitness: "You could see he has the quality but the main worry is that he isn't match fit enough for us to take him at the moment.
"We have offered to get him fit here with us but we don't want to do that and then see him go to join another club. So we will have to wait and see what the player wants to do."
