De Vos 50/50 for Millwall - Ipswich Town News

Town could be without central defender Jason De Vos when they face Millwall at Portman Road on Sunday. The 30-year-old has returned to the UK after Canada duty with a swollen left knee.

Boss Joe Royle rates him as doubtful: "It might be Sunday morning before we know if Jason will be fit and he is rated at 50/50.

"He is a resilient lad as he showed when he played through a deep bruising to his right leg."

De Vos was already out of Canada's game in Costa Rica on Wednesday as he was suspended for picking up two bookings.

Better news for Royle is that left-back Matt Richards felt no ill effects after playing for the reserves last night. Richards has been out of action due to a gash on his foot.

Royle also had praise for loanee Tony Dinning and frontman Pablo Couñago: "Matt Richards will be back in contention for the Millwall match, while Tony Dinning did well. Pablo Couñago showed encouraging signs and his attitude is getting better."
