Sunday Travel News - Ipswich Town News
Fans on their way to Sunday's home game with Millwall face delays whether they are travelling by car or by train.
Roadworks on the A12 may affect supporters travelling from east of Ipswich with the A12 closed at Farnham for road reconstruction.
A diversion will be fully signed and is intended to be suitable for all A12 traffic. Traffic travelling towards Ipswich will be directed off the A12 at Farnham on to the A1094.
The route will then run through Snape and Tunstall on the B1069. There will be temporary traffic lights in Tunstall to regulate the flow through the junctions there. The route will join the A1152. The route will return to the A12 via Melton. This is expected to add 15 minutes to journey times.
Coming from the opposite direction, there is also a new set of roadworks on the A12 at Marks Tey which is also likely to cause delays.
Train travellers will not escape problems with engineering works between Ipswich and
Witham on Sunday. A replacement bus service will be in place.
